I had a game with Ezreal and i was mid. I had to fight vs a very good Kog'ma. This Kog'ma was just always behind his minons and i could never hit him. When i tried to come in a good possion to hit him with my e he just walked/ran away. When i tried to walk behind his minions ti hit him he walked around and attacked back (certainly he did that ) and he dealt more damage then me because i just could auto attack him.

My Question his what can you do in such a situation? Just stay back and kill some minions?

Just last hit minions with your Q and use Essence Flux if Kog'Maw uses his BaB (longer range). Use your flash thingy to escape if you are in a dangerous position.

Also, you can use your flash offensively to position yourself for a surprise Mystic Shot. Your burst is far higher than his.

Wasting Flash for one Q isn't really effective. Perhaps if you can finish him off though.

i just haaaaveee to say this :
Surprise butt secks ... i mean mystic shot
also blink deals good dmg on an ancient relic i still play AP Ez ! ( i will always play him )
ap ez is also easier at harrasing since W goes past minions
only downside is his smaller range

HMM
I run a 21/0/9 ez and have ignite/exhaust.
I start with dorans blade and have arm pen runes/arm pen quints/cdr gylps/ad seals

At lvl 1 my Q does 108 damage.

In this case, I probably would try to wait till at least lvl 3 or 4 to engage, putting 2 points in Q, 1 in W and 1 in E.

Now, let him push the lane so that you'll be fighting near your tower. Ideally what you want is to lure him to the middle of the mid lane and pounce him at the moment.
Wait till his creeps are about to die and a fresh wave will soon be coming. Immediately E onto the side of him and line up a quick Q/W then ignite/exhaust him and auto attack and Q till he dies.

That's how I always get a kill off someone mid, not 100% chance of success but very high burst.

Generally I will take a blow or two if I can get a guaranteed Q and a couple of autoattacks thanks to the passive. Also blowing your summoner spells (exhaust and ignite) and getting right in his face to get him to run even if he's only at say, half, might provide enough psychological shock to make you the dominant laner. You simply have to be aggressive with Ez early on. I go 21/9/0 masteries and get the armor and magic res buffs for early-game laning. Helps quite a bit, plus starting with Dorans blade and a health pot.

Ezreal is just a joke in serious games.

A quick guide how to counter Ezreal.

Laning.

1) Stay behind creeps.
2) Harass with ranged auto attacks or spammable abilities.
3) Combo
4) Profit.
5) Repeat.

Mid

1) Stay behind creeps
2) Harass with ranged auto attacks or spammable abilities.
3) Combo
4) Profit.
5) Repeat.


Teamfight.

1) They have Ez in team, wot. Maybe a heimer too?
2) Profit.
3) Repeat.


Game beginning

1)Do not ever go solo lane vs ranged champs (Ez too) having 400 hp.
2) Have 600-800 hp at start
3) Profit.
4) Repeat.

Ezreal is a joke. Thread is trash. No wonder that good KogMaw counters Ez easily.

There is no way you will beat an experienced ranged champion using Ezreal on mid lane.


Play normal champions.

I saw an awesome sentence on this forum "Spectator Mode is already implented in League of Legends - play Ezreal." Don't remember who said this, but he was right.

The point of my entire post in this thread - pick and learn a really good champion.

Ezzy might be nerfed to fuck but still anyone who's actually skilled and I'm talking about aiming and positioning on right clicking Kog from a while away can keep Ezzy in top tier. Basically he's the highest range carry in the game and the most mobile ranged carry (Leave the CC to magic carries and initiators, lol), yet no one is skilled enough to take advantage of it. (Not saying I am, but really, I've haven't seen an Ezzy good with his controls)

And for those who say that his Mystic shot has like 1.x sec CD and eventually he has to auto attack to damage, you're right, but most of the fight you're not suppose to auto attack but rock some Mystic shots, and get in just at the right moment with your shit (Sorta Master Yi-like but with less damage and something to do while not on an auto attacking rampage(
