Inspired by the classic pokemon type charts we all came to know and love I decided to make one for League of Legends
I'm wanting feedback rather than just having my opinion on counters and will try and make it more of a community project than just something I've done by myself


(contains all 69 champs(correct as of date of posting))

I'm going to upload it when it actually has some data in, I'm also going to start a visual basic program to hopefully suggest and recommend team compositions against what your opponents pick.

So let me know your thought on hard counters and good counters for various champs

I know that Sivir is a counter to Kass(with her spell shield)....I will try to think of more

Janna is a strong counter to amumult.
Blitz and udyr are strong counters to galio, because they can stun while taunted.

Blitz can't stun whilst taunted.

Think they were talking about his knock-up. If Blitz activates it before he gets taunted he can interrupt the ult easily. If Blitz isn't caught in the ult then he can Rocket Grab Galio to interrupt it, too.

And if he is caught in the ult but his uit is off cooldown, he can interrupt it too.

Basically we can just say Blitzcrank is a counter to everybody who has any sort of channeled spell.

Gragas, too, ins a counter to Amumu. Amumu is actually a counter to Janna, depending on who ults first: people tend to go into Janna's ult, which is as large as mummy's ult, so Amumu can bandage to Janna (interrupting channel) and snare everybody else.

Yeah, this list is going to turn into quite an ugly beast as a lot of these counters seem to be situational. I think it should stick to a more black and white list(e.g. Kog/Malz are counters to high HP champs as they both have a madreds type spell)

i know its situtational but some champs are "hard" counters to others those are really the ones i want to show off
things even as obvious as player skill and aggression can make some champs counter others

Malphite counters most AD champs especially those with no range

Situational probably but, Fiddle counters vlad mid lane

Akali is a good counter to Kog'Maw.
Kog'Maw is a good counter to Vlad, Mundo and Cho'gath.
Gangplank is a good counter to Vlad and Mundo.

I've been thinking about this for a while, I also wanted to add good lane comboes and the like.<div><br></div><div>I do think that you need to make a distinction between laning phase 1v1, 2v2 and team fights.</div>

Funny that you say that, cause I just got done playing against a blitz and udyr same game, and I was galio and I didnt have a problem at all..

I like the idea of this list, but I strongly believe in player skill more then champion alone.. Thus making this spreadsheet not viable.. good idea though. Like jax is a counter to all auto/melee attacking champs, but anyone who knows how to play will be able to counter jax with a melee/auto attacking champ.

Counter doesn't mean auto-counter, it depends on skill as you point out. Of course, there's no point theorizing around leaguecraft if the behavior of the players is irrational. A good blitz and a good udyr will however prepare their auto-attack CC when they feel you're gonna ult them.
