She has too much CC. Her E should be cut to the duration of Shen's Shadow Dash. Her ultimate should also cap at 2 second-stun at max level. Otherwise, it looks/sounds pretty good =3

I actually really like this idea, involving dodge with her abilities and stuff the way you did is a really neat concept. Good job!

You put too much god damn work on your champ ideas man, it discourages me from ever trying to propose a champion....You even made a sounndpack, geez! I give props just for the work you put into the project.

good champ, the only thing i can say its thats relying just LOT on his passive for the dodge, or either ninja tabi(wich everyone will equip her),and runes ,wich low level players wudnt even think on them.i mean having 5 opposing champions near will last a couple of seconds before either side dies, and for just 15%?no.
how abaut to win dodge for every champ near?then your allies would help a lot.
i see soaring hope a little strange.i mean, need too recast to debuff is unesesary and even more to dmg.how about to charge in target area, dmg , and "drain" magic resist(they loose it,u win it).these way u coud gain something to stop casters.
it has too much cc,like someone already said.
due to her wepons she coud use energy more than mana i would love her,if se woud use energy then w coud regen some energy as part of the passive whenever she dodges
i love the consept.great work

I frigging love this champion.
A champion that will revive the Dodge stat.
Her concept and abilities...everything are unique!
There's not much I can say, because this champion seems perfect already!
I'll post additional feedback once I read it a second time.

First off, I believe the term you're looking for is "dodge monkey." (:
Onto the largest problem: CC. Simply put, she has far too much of it. Mai is capable of (all by herself, mind you) locking a champion in 5 continuous seconds of big, black, throbbing, rock hard stuns (or equivalent forms of CC). I would remove the stun from her ult entirely, it never really needed it in the first place.
On a smaller note, Soaring Hope could use a teeny bit more base damage at higher ranks.
That's what I see for now. Can't say I want to play her, but that's just me preferring not to rely on RNG for success.

Tank jax plus lee sin, Also she's essentially talim. Even in story, yay copyright infringement.

Martial character based off an element of study, this one being water whereas talim is wind. She's like lee sin because a lot of her moves have secondary activations. She's a tank because she dodges is ok i suppose, IF a lot of the primary damage in the game was dealt through abilities. Additionally, monks are known to use tonfas anyway, the fact that she "sets out to better herself through discipline" is very monk.
This character is WAY overpowered in my opinion, an aoe stun, an aoe taunt, a self heal, a knock up. And in a teamfight a passive 30% dodge, not counting the dodge from items/masteries/runes.

Training underneath a waterfall does not mean Mai has an affinity with water. In addition, none of her moves mention water at all, whereas most of Talim's story elements and moves revolve around the wind itself. She is also supposed to be a "warrior lady" of sorts who trains hard.
Furthermore, Mai's main weakness would be spells. She is a different kind of tank who has low defenses, and so dodging is very essential for her survival. If she does not dodge, then her offensive power is also put in jeopardy, which means she would run the risk of dying quickly. She is a tank who would fight "on the edge" while trying to bank on dodge procs.

Sorry i misunderstood her story, i just see many similarities.
As for her abilities, the stun/knockup/aoe taunt, I see her being more as a massive cc machine. Aside from her dodge she dosent seem to have any other mitigation abilities.

I'll be adding a much more detailed review later on after more people post, which is very very likely but I'll open up with a couple of things:
- The concept of Dodge as an awesome stat will soon be revived!
- Her playstyle is something that I've want to see more in LoL. A Bruiser that needs a lot of manual dexterity to use efficiently, sort of like Jarvan but a quicker and more slippery version!
- Tonfas FTW.
- The concept reminds me a lot of Sun Ce, well his portrayal in the Dynasty Warriors video games. Tonfas + an attitude that screams "I want a challenge!" =
- Oh and I never forget about Talim.
Her overall playstyle reminds me of a Fighting Game character on a MOBA, which if I would admit, was my first attempt on one of my champion ideas, but this one is way better executed than any of my attempts

Didn't read the thread, pardon me if I repeat things.
I think this champion will be either UP or OP. The dodge makes her crap against any sort of magic but the taunt makes her able to be extremely powerful (= hard to balance). She requires Flash (surprise surprise, who doesn't these days).
For builds:
Doran's Shield > Ninja Tabi > Sheen > Banshee's Veil > Frozen Heart > Trinity Force > whatever.
She's a CC bot not needing any damage soon, the Sheen in combo with E>W will do wonders.
