Was watching a CLG livestream this morning (SAINTVICIOUS?) and noticed a bug he ran into. He was Alpha striking a target that died before he could get to it. Result? Stunned under a turret with four new friends for about 5~ seconds. Just a heads up.

Happened to me this evening. I'm not sure about it but I think it happens when your first target dies before you hit it on the first bounce. You pop back out of Alpha Strike, and get locked out for about 3 or 4 seconds. Unable to move, use summoner spells or skills. Alpha Strike doesn't go on cooldown, though.

That happens allot, if you B and just before you are gone you take damage you still teleport away. The same with alpha strike, you still charge but you get stunned. After the charge you appear at the spot you alpha'd to with the stun on you.

That's not what they're referring to...
Common knowledge that spells don't apply onto Yi while he is Alpha Striking until after he finishes it. They're talking about when he tries to Alpha Strike onto a target, but the target dies before he reaches them, in which case he stops mid Alpha Strike and glitches out.

Thanks for the sig, MagicalBaker(Hellbreaker)!

Did you recognize this only after the latest patch?
Whenever I played Yi there's this tactic that you use alpha strike on a minion which is about to die and if it dies during alpha strike you appear where you started rather than near the target.
But it's been a while since I played Yi the last time or maybe this "stun" only applies on champions.

The bug that stuns you is definitely new this patch.

I believe in your victory.

It's not like that. At least, I don't think so. It happened if the minion dies before you even hit it.
Like, you use Alpha, and half way to hitting it the minion dies. You get stunned.
Whereas (I believe, though I'm not entirely sure), if you Alpha, you hit the first minion, start bouncing to the 2nd (Or the 3rd or 4th for that matter) and the first minion dies, it does not stun you
It's like you lose the target, so it deposits you where you started, but still tries to play out the time you should have been Alpha'ing, so it leaves you there, stunned

I bet you didn't know Yi has the longest stun in the game. But yes, I can replicate the result whenever I want. Alpha Strike a minion that's about dead. If it dies before your little alpha strike streak reaches it. You get kicked to your starting point stunned for 4-5 seconds. I believe you can use wuju style and highlander but you still just stand there. It's been in the game for the last 3 or 4 patches. I've sent the info into Riot multiple times. Still no fix.

Hmm, my buddy does this on purpose, but this stun thing must be new. What used to happen was you would just hit four new targets and pop back where you started your Q. So, I guess this is new.
Unce Unce Unce.
That will be all.
