I'd say it's been okay, I like the most recent couple of champions (Ziggs, Nautilus, Sejuani), I will admit that old ideas get recycled (in terms of mechanics anyway) and that's either because people are too lazy to code, or they just happen to be working under somebody afraid of making people learn things (I'm not even going to say his name, you know who I'm referring to *cough* Morrelo *cough*).

Prior to Ziggs and Nautilus, I would've put an F. Both Ziggs and Nautilus have a unique flavor: Nautilus is a tank that gets in there and forces you to either peel him or take a lot of damage. Ziggs has humongous range and zone control with AoEs but he takes a bit of skill and can't really spam much more than Q.

Before them, though.....most of the champions released were just rehashes of old champions or played very similarly to other champions (Ex: Sejuani feels a lot like Leona but with jungling and slows instead of supporting and stuns, Graves is what Miss Fortune should've been, Volibear's ultimate doesn't even fit on his kit, Fizz doesn't fit anywhere in the game, Wukong is just flat-out boring without much gameplay choice, etc.)

Of the past releases, I only find that I like the functioning, kit design, and champion design of Shyvana, Riven, and Ahri....and maybe Viktor if he had a few more changes.

All things told, we do have some good champions released. Orianna, Riven, Nautilus, Shyvana, Leona, Yorick, and Karma all have unique flavors and clear/fun design, but a few of them (Orianna, Yorick, Karma) need some changes so that they can actually be competitive. Yorick is nothing but a walking ultimate after laning. Karma is just completely confused about everything. And Orianna got overnerfed but buffing her is dangerous.

EDIT: Oh, from Volibear to Nautilus?

I like them all except Sejuani. Volibear is kinda boring in terms of design but I like him because MOTHERFUCKING ARMORED BEAR! Sejuani is just a forgettable Leona who jungles and has softer CC. So from Volibear to Nautilus I'd rate it a B.

I'm not joking with my above statement btw.

I really don't give a fuck anymore. Was kind of excited for Nautilus and bummed out I didn't have the IP to buy him (can't grind IP if you barely play can you?). But seeing how he turned out, nah not so much. I played LOL for a solid 2 years and recently I am just bored. The items are fucking the game up, the meta is stale and the champ release aren't exciting for me.

Let's see the latest ones:

Nautilus > Looks boring
Ziggs > Meh, hes ok
Sejuani > Boring
Victor > Boring
Ahri > Didn't like her as much as I hoped for
Volibear > Hes ok, but nothing special
Fizz > Last champ I REALLY liked.
Riven > She was cool, also liked her
Shyvana > Bored me
Xerath > Played 2 games, bored me after
Graves > Boring

I don't even remember the correct order.

So yes, I stopped giving me a fuck. I'm not trying to change this into a Valve does it betterrrrrr kind of discussion, but yeah, they keep me interested. They had 2 weeks of nothing due to issues with the beta and then came with this guy

And epic tons of new textures for upcoming releases/ports and updates for existing heroes (I really don't know HOW much content you can put in a game per single hero, but they keep doing it). They also added four new heroes to DotA1 recently and I'm jumping for them to be ported, because they look insanely fun to play.

Do I hate LOL? Nah. But until Riot decides to release a champ which actually interests me, the only thing you will see me doing is trying some games with heavily buffed/changed champions and then going to the game that currently DOES manage to interest me.

Volibear: I like him, I like playing him, but his design is pretty mehhhhhhhhhhh
Ahri: Really fun and relatively interesting
Viktor: Incredibly fun, has some interesting mechanics. Only bogged down by meh usability and his passive is derp for the most part
Sejuani: Seems relatively fun to play, boring design though
Ziggs: Pretty cool, has some interesting mechanics
Nautilus: Barely seen him, but his design seems pretty rad

They've been mostly hit or miss with the champion designs.
I really hope they follow through with their promise on providing better champ designs.

I REALLY dislike the last few releases, many of them have either a dash+an extreme movespeed boost, or a dash + hard CC. makes escapes really annoying, and chasing pointless.

ffs makes udyr feel pointless. bear! dash stun +60% MS trololol

Amount of people playing a champion is dictated by strenght/usability, not by how interesting a champion is.

It doesn't matter what they release at this point. They could literally release a giant studded dildo champion and it woulnt make me come play LoL. 2 months ago they had a shot, not really anymore.

You realise that 'knows' doesn't go together with 'interesting' right? Because interesting in this context is an opinion. You don't 'know' an opinion, and not everyone has the same opinion. I for one think Victor is boring as fuck (funny sidenote, saw 3 Victors when I still played and 2 out of 3 raped pretty hard), and I know multiple people who share that opinion, which automatically makes me conclude there are even more people who think like that.

We're talking about interesting in a mechanical sense in this thread, which he is compared to nearly every other one of Riot's recent releases. He can be boring to you yet be interesting mechanically at the same time, to think that he can't is foolish.

This is STILL an opinion. I don't think his hankyspanky combination of spells makes him interesting at all, not even in an mechanical sense.

It is foolish to have the opinion that with his CURRENT kit and his current combination of spells he has boring mechanics, what?
