So today in English, my dear friend Evin looked up at me, and asked me "Braydan, If I clone myself and have sex with it, is it masturbation or incest?" I have come here today, Leaguecraft, to ask you.

Incest is with relatives. Masturbation is playing with yourself. A clone is a replica of yourself, and thus the closest thing of the two options.

Props to Jsta/HB for awesome sigs!
Sorry for my pristine English. I'm Norwegian.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking of, but then we toyed with the idea that clones although they start the same could potentially experience individual growth, and therefore become different identities, in which case the clone would be a relative of yours that is extremely similar, which would make it incest

You cannot clone someone to perfectly match the original (or even then, you cannot provide the exact same environment for both of them), therefore the latter.

so you wanna say, even if the clone is anatomically 100% the same as you, he is still not the same as you, because there would then exist two of you which uninevitably results in one having to be a clone?
But quantum theories prove otherwise, doesn't it?

Having an anatomically matching physical body doesn't mean you have an exact copy of the said person.
But guess this goes under the usual 'materialism vs spiritualism' question, therefore you either agree or not, not many unbreakable counterpoints can be made on either sides.

This is what get's me. Assuming we have a perfect clone, memory and all, wouldn't their own manner of creation allow them to understand that they are a clone, and therefore grow in a different way. A clone might be anatomically identical, but the way in which people grow and their thoughts changes prevents it from ever having the exact same perceptions as the original, hence, another separate being, one that is virtually identical but unique in it's own right.
It's an argument that can be applied to a lot of things actually :L

I agree, people develop new skills and personalities all the time, depending on environment etc. So given time the clone would progress in another direction than the "true you", if they did not share the EXACT same daily schedule I guess. Still gay though. Teehee.
