Summoners!

We are pleased to announce that we’re closing the books on our Spectator Mode beta and moving into our full release. In the coming patch, we’re rolling out some exciting new features that will bring your experience spectating games to the next level. In the full release of Spectator Mode you’ll be able to jump to specific points in the action with Timeshift controls, allow the computer to control your perspective through Directed Camera, and spectate your friends’ games that are already in progress. You can even watch top players by selecting from a number of Featured Games pre-selected for you on the PvP.net landing page.

For a full rundown of the new features available in the full release of Spectator Mode, take a look at the video below.

Looks like they took a good look at Valve :P

I do like the fact that you can rewatch teamfights and such, that is really nifty. Now we need a replay option :(

(also, I predict massive problems and servers crashes this patch, sadly :( )

HOLY SHIT.

Friend of mine just notified me of something I didn't realise which is going to suck fucking balls about this. Think about this:

Spectator delay: 3 minutes.
Blue buff timer: 5 minutes.
Red buff timer: 5 minutes.
Dragon timer: 6 minutes.
Baron timer: 7 minutes.

Even with 3 minutes delay people could just spectate and tell you exactly when the enemy buff is going to respawn. Holy shit this is going to suck major dick.

Well, I doubt they'll let people spectate ranked games (unless they've actually completely lost it). So you only have to worry about super try-hards in normal games. Unless of course they change it so that you can only see one team's vision.

Edit: Nvm, watched video, apparently you can watch buddies' ranked games. I guess they've actually completely lost it.

Ok, yeah, they probably should totally bring the delay to like, 10 minutes.

Doesn't really solve the problem. Spectators can still the in game clock/timer. So long as the delay is less than 5/6/7 minutes (regarding the respective neutral monsters), spectators will be able to see when the monsters die, calculate the time they will respawn, and tell the players before they respawn.

You do, but they are permanent until proven otherwise, telling your team when their buffs will re-spawn is a huge thing, because you never know it's EXACT timing unless you clock it yourself

i think i understand(quite an advantage), but usually you see the enemy team with the buff after 20 secs, and the marker doesnt take into account when you discovered when it was not real, but the actual timer when it respawns. also, wards.... but again, its a good advantage

I am insane. Your point is invalid
