Hi guys,

So I was experimenting with GP10's mid and wanted to do this study to check how beneficial it was.
I produced two grahps and two tables, as well as working out the in game gold value of the most common quints and seals. From there I worked out how long it would take to generate enough gold to buy an item of similar effect to your original seals if you replaced them with GP10 seals.

Wow, nicely done, very thorough work. Something I lack is comparison with flat magic res as it is my most common use in mid lanes, especially against burst casters. With champions like Veigar who only really want to stand and passively farm in mid I'd say GP10 runes look very tempting. I'll definitely try this out and see for myself!

The only problem that I see with this is the drawback of having to start out with the lower stats. Although you be able to buy it and make a benefit from it sometimes not having it in that earliest stage can be utterly crippling. Like you said though, it's all dependant on match ups and play style. I don't think this would work well for me.

I think that GP10 items are quite nice if you know that your team is in advantage at other lanes or if your team can contest on objectives knowing you are weaker then the enemy mid.
I also think that if you do go GP10 items it should stay as items and runes.
