Yeah, that stuff is annoying when it happens, but it's still better than Proving Grounds (To me). I don't find Proving Grounds fun. It feels too much like ARAB to me (I don't care if you don't see it. I've talked to a lot of people who agree with me, and the designers intended it to be that way), it's too fast-paced for my taste, the bushes let melee dominate everything (Whereas I like the early game disadvantage that melee have in ARAM), and just generally don't have fun.
Again, it wouldn't be a problem because I could just not play on the map, but everyone calling it ARAM is making it impossible to actually play ARAM

You talk bullshit. Melee dominate for shit on PG. Having a Caitlyn/Tristana/Kog'Maw on your team means you will win, because they have range and extreme scaling. The bushes can also easily be abused by said carries. Just get over it, SR isn't meant to play ARAM on it, it sucks to play ARAM on it because everybody has to take Heal/Clarity or else you will run oom/low health fast. The game goes extremely slow and is really one sided after a while. And when you finally breached the inhibitor, you still have to do a looooooong siege at the Nexus turrets, where the enemies can outturtle you.

Maybe not, but ARAM was made on SR, and PG wasn't made for ARAM. It's simple as that.

You're complaining about a non-issue (Sure, it's an issue for you, but as you've stated, very few seem to agree). If you don't want people to call it ARAM, you could always try and start a few games on Proving Grounds yourself, naming it "ARPG" (Speaks for it self) or.. "ARSL" (All Random Single Lane) or something else to that effect, attempting to change naming conventions yourself.
As you most likely have noticed, you aren't finding much support here, so while I do empathise with how there's only one thing left in LoL that you actually enjoy (and thus don't want to lose). You'll have to accept that the majority of the "ARAM/ARAB/ARsomething" players don't agree with you.
Also, I found this discussion completely void of purpose after the first 10 posts, other than your's and Feanor's pissing match.

Frankly while I do agree that there are major differences between ARAM on SR and PG, the differences are improvements IMO. The lack of neutral creeps and side lanes make gold gain much more manageable (No random 150 gold gains from side lanes), and prevents any "cheating", but the map is balanced more like Dominion than SR, but frankly I find it's an improvement in most cases. Not saying you CAN'T like the old ARAM, just that I find PG more refined.
