Dear Fellow Summoners!

I've noticed, that people specifically support champs are buying gold items mindlessly, because they don't understand that extra gold doesn't always means profit! for example Philosopher's Stone costs 800 gold, and gives 1 in every 20 sec, so if you buy it around 30 minutes, then it wont give you any "bonus", because it needs 1600 seconds (26:40) to "give back the money it costs".

In general cases you shouldn't buy any bonus gold items after 10-15 minutes of gameplay with the purpose of gaining more gold

But it's hard to keep up with all this I know, thats why I've created this free tool, so anyone can easily track his/her progress and income, so you wont waste gold.

I hope it helps

you are thinking someone is doing it purely for gold gain when that however is just not true. Philostone is good because it is cheap meaning you can get it early, gives you some passive gold, and gives you a nice health and mana regen for better staying power. It also builds into a good late game item to help your team initiate or flee.

You can also sell it for half the price so you only need it for 800 seconds (13:33) to start making money off of it if that was your only intent.

Also you said it gives 1 in every 20 but i think you meant 1 every 2 because that is the correct ratio and is the one you did use. Figured it was just a typo but just wanted to point it out.

So, since we're on this topic of gold gains, would it ever be beneficial for non supports to run gold runes? I've tried it myself on some mids and some tanks, and felt that although yes my early game wasn't as dominant, I scaled hard into mid and late and ALWAYS ended the game far too fully built.
