My gf and I worked on a remodel but when i install the files and try to see it ingame it looks invisible. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Usually I run into this problem when the skin isn't bound properly. At that point I export my weight maps. If you unwrapped symmetrically then the weights will be bound to one side. Mirror skin weights and you should be good. Then try again. If that doesn't work then you get to re-bind all over again. Yay! I've re-weighted my custom models I don't know how many times so I'm pretty quick at it. Once you have the default weights try importing into the game and see if it's visible then refine the weights from there. It will save time compared with getting to the end and realizing there's a problem.

Well that's your problem. You need to rig the mesh of your model to the skeleton for that character in game. The weights are the influence a particular bone exerts on a given vertex. I hope that helps.

Hi there, I'm having the same problem as the OP, but I'm slightly more experienced. I've yet to deal with bone mapping, or anything to do with bones really at all, but as someone who would understand easily, would you be willing to explain the steps required for your above suggestion?
Just tell me what to select, what menus to go through, and if it doesn't work I'll leave it at that, but I really do want to try this one last thing before calling it quits :|
